I received the Comfort Cross yesterday. All I can say is I love it! My 27 year old daughter , Liz went to be with our Lord. I was in need of something comforting. This comfort cross not only tells me Our Lord will always be with me but my loving, caring beautiful Liz will also be with me. Thank you so much for these awesome crosses.

When I made the first Comfort Cross, The idea to place “I AM with you always” on the crossbeam was simply inspired while reading the scriptures.
I met an elderly LDS woman, Barbara, and her husband, Lee, while working in their home. Over the next few years, I did more work for them, and we became friends. I remember asking Barbara why the Mormons distance themselves from the symbols of the Cross and Crucifix. As always, we had a good conversation, although short, about those things that should be first and foremost. Then one morning, I was driving to the southern Idaho border from Northern Utah to do some work in Preston, Idaho. I was listening to the radio when I heard a woman had been hit by a truck while walking out of a Shop-Co. My breath was taken away as I heard that Barbara Hails, a North Logan resident, had died that morning. My thoughts went right to Lee, her husband. He was older than Barbara was, and she lovingly cared for him. In the short time that I spent in their home, I saw a strong man, who was now an elderly man, in need of everything his wife could willingly give. I thought, “How is he going to go on without his wife of so many years?” I thought of my own wife, Chantal, and how we met at fourteen years of age so many years ago. What if I lost her? I quickly shut off those thoughts. They were too hard to bear.
About two days later, I happened to be driving by Lee's home. I thought about knocking on the door but did not listen to that kind of prompting. Then, I saw the Comfort Cross on my passenger seat that I had made just a few days ago, a day or two before Barbara was killed. I knew I had to give it to Lee, with the crossbeam reading, “I AM with you always”. So, led on my way I drove back and knocked on that door. His daughter greeted me. I did not know her. I gave her my name, and she said to her dad, “It’s Rich Horrell.”
I heard Lee's voice, “Rich come on in.” As I entered, I looked to my right. There was Lee, sitting in a chair in the middle of his living room with family members gathered around him. I simply walked over to him and said, “This is for you Lee.” He got up and looked at the cross with the words “I AM with you always.” Without saying a word, tears began to fall. He gave me a hug and said, “This is about the best gift I could have received right now.” I told him that I was asked by the Spirit to bring it to him, that I was simply in the right place at the right time. I expressed my heartfelt sorrow and said goodbye. We all have a Lee in our lives. We are all Lee at times in our lives.
"The cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God"

I AM with you always ~Jesus
God Bless.
